I have been building guitars since 2004, and had been
a woodworker, boat builder, airplane builder, and
carpenter for 30 years prior to that. I enjoy the
challenges of both new construction and repair work,
although there will always be something special about
stringing up one of your own instruments for the first
time. As is evident on the 'In the Shop' page here, I
also like sharing new techniques or old ones that
work well, so this site has links to tutorials on the
Official Luthiers Forum and to YouTube videos on
both guitarmaking and essential skills like edge tool
sharpening.
